Beginners Curtain course 15th Jan 2026

The class will be held in the Horsehair & Hessian workshop nr Bury St Edmunds on

15th January 2026

9.30 am - 4.30 pm

The class will be limited to 5 people to ensure everyone gets lots of personal tuition. 

In this class you'll learn how to…

Make a small sample lined curtain, approx 50 x 80cm, with pencil heading tape or cottage heading 

Discuss fabrics, linings and poles and  which heading tape to use

How to measure and calculate fabric quantities using pattern repeat.

Pattern match seams

How to mitre the corners, put weights in, create hems and how to attach heading tape with a cord tidy

Learn how to hang and professionally dress your finished curtain
